Amnistía Internacional celebra sus 50 años homenajeando a Bod Dylan con numerosos artistas

Amnistía Internacional ha anunciado esta semana que pronto pondrá a la venta una nueva colección de versiones de canciones del legendario Bob Dylan con motivo del 50 aniversario de la fundación del grupo defensor de los derechos humanos.

Este recopilatorio saldrá bajo el nombre de ‘Chimes of Freedom’ (Campanadas de libertad) y constará de cuatro discos con 71 temas del artista, interpretadas en esta ocasión por artistas de todos los estilos, entre los que destacan Sting, Adele, Elvis Costello, Miley Cyrus, Sinead O’Connor, Maroon 5, Ke$ha  y RedOne entre otros, además de la canción que da  da título al álbum que estará cantada por el propio Bob Dylan.

Esta colección se podrá adquirir a partir del próximo 7 de febrero de 2012, y está producida por Jeff Ayeroff y Julie Yannatta. Ambos indican que «esta colección representa una poderosa fusión entre el respeto de la comunidad musical por el trabajo de AI y la brillantez de Dylan».

Por su parte Amnistía Internacional comunica que toda la recaudación por las ventas del álbum estará destinada a financiar la lucha contra la censura y a favor de la libertad de expresión en casos como el de Liu Xiaobo, ganador del Nobel de la Paz pero encarcelado por defender la democracia en China.
