Se anuncian los nominados a los MTV VMA 2011 con Katy Perry como favorita

La pasada noche se anunciaron en Estados Unidos los nominados a los MTV Video Music Awards 2011. Este año destaca con 9 nominaciones Katy Perry, seguida por Adele y Kanye West con 7 nominaciones cada uno. Lady Gaga y Britney Spears que sonaban como posibles triunfadoras en cuanto a nominaciones se han quedao con 3 y 2 respectivamente.

La edición de este año será la número 28 y se llevará a cabo el 28 de agosto volviendo a realizarse en Los Ángeles (históricamente se hacían en Nueva York). Concretamente tendrán lugar en el Nokia Theatre.

El presidente de MTV declaró: “Estamos muy contentos de regresar a Los Ángeles, donde la energía de la ciudad ayudará a alimentar el espíritu creativo de la edición número 28 de los premios anuales. La ciudad es el escenario perfecto para todos los momentos musicales, el caos y la magia que hacen que los Video Music Awards sean una celebración tan notoria”.
